Who uses NorthwestSellers services?

Executors of an estate, people moving to a retirement home, nursing home, out of state, in with a relative, to smaller quarters, anyone who needs to liquidate estate items.

What kinds of things does NorthwestSellers sell?

We specialize in unique one-of-a-kind antique, vintage, estate and collectible items. We can sell virtually anything that is legal and safe to be sold. Antique, contemporary and used furniture and furnishings. Fine antiques, collectibles and just plain junk. Clothing, costume and fine jewelry. Tools, appliances, garden equipment. Before you throw it out give us call. We might amaze you!

What does NorthwestSellers do?

We will first meet with you, look over the items you wish to liquidate and make recommendations based on our experience and your needs. For most Estate Sales, NorthwestSellers will work in the home five or more days before the sale dates, depending on the amount of work to be done. We unload cabinets, closets and drawers so that all items can be seen. After displaying the items to be sold, we price everything. Pricing is based on our knowledge of the market-place, a reference library, a network of individuals with expertise in specific areas and current internet auctions.
We write and place all newspaper advertising, send out e-mail announcements to our subscriber list, and when appropriate, distribute flyers.
Over the course of the sale days, we can usually sell 90-95% of the items for sale. Items that are left can be donated to charity or discarded at the clients discretion.

 What is the cost?

The initial meeting and discussion of our recommendations is absolutely free. There are no up front costs. NorthwestSellers works on a percentage of the total sales. The fee is typically 25-30% based upon the amount of work involved. The fee is deducted from the money collected at the sale.

Are there any additional costs or fees?

Occasionally, NorthwestSellers may request that fees for specialized services such as auctioneers, specialty advertising or dumpsters be paid in addition to our fees. We will always discuss these with the client and obtain your approval prior to incurring them.

Is there a minimum amount of goods that NorthwestSellers will sell?

There is no minimum. One item or an entire farm, NorthwestSellers will meet with you and discuss the option that best meets your needs. For small quantities we sometimes recommend that we combine your items with another estate, we purchase them from you or we consign them for a specified time period.
